Common questions
What are the main FDA labeling requirements for cosmetics?+
Under 21 CFR Part 701, cosmetic labels must include: the product identity (name), net quantity of contents, name and address of the responsible person, and a complete ingredient list using INCI names in descending order of predominance. Warning statements are required for products with specific risks.
What changed with MoCRA for cosmetic labeling?+
MoCRA introduced new labeling requirements including mandatory contact information for serious adverse event reporting and, for professional-use products, clear labeling that they are for professional use only. Compliance deadlines for some MoCRA labeling provisions apply from 2026.
Does this cover ingredient safety assessment?+
This service reviews label compliance — whether your label meets FDA format and content requirements. It does not include a safety assessment of your ingredients. Ingredient safety is the responsibility of the responsible person under MoCRA.
Can I combine this with product listing?+
Yes. The Cosmetic Product Listing + Label Review Bundle is $149 per product and covers both. For full setup, the Cosmetics Brand Launch Bundle ($999) includes facility registration, 5 product listings, and 5 label reviews.
