We file with FDA
We submit the cosmetic facility registration through the FDA Cosmetics Direct system under MoCRA. Filing is completed within 3–5 business days.
Confirmation received
You receive an FDA registration confirmation. Your facility appears in FDA records as a registered cosmetic manufacturer. US Agent is active from Year 1.
Common questions
What is MoCRA and why does it require registration?+
MoCRA (Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act, 2022) introduced mandatory facility registration and product listing for cosmetic manufacturers and packagers. Foreign facilities that manufacture cosmetics for the US market must register their facilities and list their products with FDA.
Do foreign cosmetic manufacturers need to register?+
Yes. Any facility — domestic or foreign — that manufactures or processes cosmetic products for US distribution must register under MoCRA. The registration must be renewed every two years.
Is an FEI number required before registration?+
Yes, an FEI number is needed to register. If you don't have one, we include FEI acquisition in this service. If you already have an FEI number, you can provide it and we use it directly.
What about product listing — is that separate?+
Yes. Facility registration and product listing are two separate filings under MoCRA. This service covers facility registration and US Agent. For product listing, see our Cosmetic Product Listing service ($75/product). The Cosmetics Brand Launch Bundle ($999) includes both.
